Ty I LOVE this: 'I don’t need to reinvent the wheel, I just need to know how others have built one' and that illustration!! A listener's position instead of Myers Brigg or Herman Brain - how cool would that be in interviews...or perhaps just bring the chair and see what happens ;-)

Oh my god. CLEARLY OUR LETTERS HAVE LAPSED FOR TOO LONG.

Friend, I am so happy for you and this journey. And happy fuckin' Pride.

It is never too late.

Oh friend, you are fine. I only just made it semi-more public at the beginning of a June in an FB post to a curated group. Thought I included you in that but I may not have by accident. 😬

Happy Pride. It is, indeed, never too late.

Hey Ty! I'm here for this. You're a great writer. I've left comments on countless Substack's the last few weeks and this one stands out to me. I think you're set up for success here because, like you said, conversations about what you're going through are not that readily available. I wanted to know if you ever saw "The Whale" ? It kind of touches on this topic a little bit of a man who was married and later came to terms with the fact that he was gay. It's a fantastic movie. I cried. I'm subscribing to follow you along here.

Thank you! I have not seen "The Whale," sadly, as I'm notoriously bad about keeping up with film and television, but I stan Brendan Fraser. I'll try and make an effort to check it out. And thank you for subscribing, I hope you enjoy what's to come! I've already got nearly a dozen post ideas either drafted or determined over the next month, so just gotta keep the momentum.

Brendan Fraser is such a gentle soul. I really liked watching him win all of those awards last year. He reminds me of my childhood as well being in all those Mummy movies. Sounds good, Ty. I'll be here for it!

Oh, and subscribed to your newsletter as well. Relationships/conversations with fathers has played a big part in my life, for better or for worse.
