Ty, I'm truly honored to be your friend and to watch you grow through expressing the very best of yourself. Congrats on this milestone, and cheers to all the new ones yet to come.
Thank you Ty. I'd known I was kinda sorta "different" when I was young but didn't explore that until College. I was out in Seminary ( I'm retired clergy) but told that as a single woman- gay or straight - working in small farm communities - that I would be seen as a threat to married women within the church and that I should go into the closet and lock the door. 9/11 blew that door to smithereens and with aplomb we headed to VT in part because neither of us trusted our families of chance. After the defeiof DOMA we had another ceremony in NYS to solidify our legal agreement within the new laws.
25 years later, I'm out on my disabled rear end and statically homeless for 4 1/2 months and when I finally found an apartment I was served with divorce papers....
I'm 68, disabled physically and have some issues mentally as well. I have no friggin clue as to what comes next but I'm excited to find community in the strangest places
Congrats! Can't wait to see where Sitting Queerly goes next!
Congratulations on a year of amazing growth, Ty!

I am so proud of you for taking the leap to Substack. You inspired me although my posts pale in comparison to yours. Congratulations on one year!
That quote from your friend, "it's been a joy to watch you turn into who you are." Whew!!
So great meeting you and getting to know you and your writing better as well. Keep up the great work!
